*Position Summary: * The successful candidate will support the Vaccine Preventable Disease team and various Public Health programs that protect and promote health. As a local and regional team member, this position contributes to the successful implementation of NWHU?s strategic plan. The Public Health Nurse works within a team to provide services and collaborate with community members and community partners for planning, implementing, and evaluating Public Health programs. *Benefits:* * OMERS Defined Benefit Pension Plan * Health and Dental benefits * Life insurance, LTD coverage * Starting 4 weeks vacation per year * 13 paid Statutory Holidays per year * Personal and family sick leave coverage *Qualifications:* * Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing, or eligible to register within the province. * Bachelor Degree in Nursing, BScN * Current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team * Knowledge of, and/or experience with, principles of adult and child education, social determinants of health, and population health promotion an asset * *Travel to different communities is required as part of this position* Pay: $41.18-$58.21 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week Work Location: In person- Location Sioux Lookout, ON
