About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized *Accounting Clerk *to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks, including invoice processing, data entry, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical accounting experience and develop their skills in a fast-paced transportation environment. Key Responsibilities * Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Process, verify, and enter vendor invoices and customer billing into the accounting system. * Match invoices with purchase orders, work orders, and supporting documentation. * Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and payment tracking. * Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records. * Reconcile statements and investigate discrepancies. * Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with collections. * Organize and maintain accounting documents and records. * Assist with month-end procedures and general accounting duties. * Communicate with internal departments, vendors, and customers regarding billing and payment inquiries. Qualifications * Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. * Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is an asset; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply. * Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting principles. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. * Experience with accounting software is an asset. * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy. * Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
