Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Collect blood, tissue or other samples from patients. Document observations on patients' specimens. Examine the results of the tests. Supervise staff. Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses. Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment. Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques. Arrange for radiographic examinations of patients for autopsy. Clean and maintain autopsy, surgical and other equipment. Discard specimens according to established safety procedures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS). Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
