Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Air conditioned. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Produce department. Supermarket/grocery store. Tasks: Assign sales workers to duties. Hire and train or arrange for training of staff. Order merchandise. Authorize return of merchandise. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Organize and maintain inventory. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Stock shelves and display areas. Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery. Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors). Provide customer service. Record incoming stock. Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items. Supervision: 5-10 people. Working groups. Security and safety: Bondable. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads.
