*Position Overview*
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our Finance department, driving complex accounting analysis, documentation, and reporting. Your expertise will also be crucial in supporting AML (Anti-Money Laundering) initiatives, payroll, and benefits administration. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of our organization.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Financial Reporting*: Compile financial reports for management, directors, and regulatory bodies.
* *AML Compliance*: Develop, implement, and monitor AML policies and procedures. Conduct due diligence checks and maintain AML documentation.
* *Payroll Administration*: Process payroll accurately and on time, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
* *Procedure Development*: Write procedures, monitor for efficiencies, and support other divisions.
* *Support Roles*: Assist with member and CRA year-end tax reporting, troubleshoot issues, and provide support to the Controller, VP Finance, and CEO.
*Qualifications*
* *Education*: High school diploma with business and computer courses. Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field is preferred. CUIC Credit Union Products and Services certification is a plus.
* *Experience*: 2-5 years in accounting or finance, preferably in a Credit Union environment.
* *Certifications*: AML certification (e.g., CAMS) is a plus.
* *Skills*: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of accounting processes and regulations.

Pay: $57,606.00-$75,000.00 per year
