CONVENTIONAL MACHINIST - DIESEL ENGINE BLOCKS
Job Summary:
Prepare, adjust, and operate conventional machine tools for machining diesel engine blocks;
Carry out boring, facing, and reboring of cylinders according to required tolerances;
Check the dimensions of machined parts with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial gauges, etc.);
Read and interpret technical drawings and machining specifications;
Carry out diagnostics of components to be machined, repairs, and machining work on components;
Research technical specifications;
Disassemble and assemble components of part;
Calibrate tools;
Perform basic machine maintenance and report any anomalies;
Comply with quality and safety standards in the workshop.
Requirements and desired profile:
Level of education:Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in machining technology.
Job-related experience:Have at least five (5) years of full-time experience in similar roles.
