Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Floriculture production. Tasks: Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination. Cultivate on vertical farming system. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Harvest seedlings. Organize greenhouse and nursery operations. Control reported insect, disease and weed problems. Determine type and quantity of stock to grow. Establish and maintain required environment. Hire, train and supervise staff. Conduct research. Area of work experience: Research and development. Plant science. Area of specialization: Horticulture. Hydroponic culture. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
