Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Operate and monitor centralized traffic control systems to co-ordinate and follow railway traffic. Chart train movements. Calculate and record arrival, departure and traffic information. Issue instructions to control the movement of passenger and freight train traffic and on-track mobile maintenance equipment. Receive, record and relay train instructions to train crew by hand or radio telephone. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
