Tasks: Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair roofing systems. Supervise other workers. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Roofer Trade Certification. Rough terrain forklift training. Working at heights training. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Rooftop Safety Training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Scaffolding Certification. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Area of specialization: Shingled roofs. Skylights. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs).
