Summit Medical Group is looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and perform administrative duties and handle basic clinical tasks including;
* Coordinating patient care through the clinic ? waiting room, exam room, and treatment room;
* Obtaining observations of the patients health and reporting them to the doctor(s);
* Handling and answering external as well as internal telephone calls and returning unanswered messages;
* Maintaining electronic records ? update patient demographics, allergies, medical history, and other clinical details;
* Measuring vital signs and collects specimens as required by the physician (i.e. blood pressure, pulse rate, height, weight, urine analysis, etc.);
* Printing and sending medical records, etc.;
* Scheduling patients for tests, diagnostic imaging, specialist?s appointments, and follow-up appointments;
* Cleaning and sterilizes materials and instruments following universal precautions;
* Preparing examination and / or treatment rooms; maintaining medical supplies and equipment for all examinations and procedures;
* Checking inventory and ordering medical supplies and materials;
* Following clinic guidelines and protocols and participates in making new ones;
* Participating in team meetings, and educational activities as requested
* Maintaining strictest confidentiality, and adheres to the clinic?s privacy policy;
