*Job Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Drafting Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, utilizing various software tools to create precise and accurate technical drawings. This role is essential in supporting our engineering and design teams by producing high-quality schematics and plans that meet project specifications. *Responsibilities* * Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation. * Develop schematics and layouts for various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. * Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs. * Utilize Sketchup and NavisWorks for visualization and coordination of design elements. * Perform revisions on existing drawings based on project updates or client requests. * Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation. * Assist in the preparation of project presentations, including 2D animations when necessary. * Ensure all drafts are completed within specified timelines while adhering to quality standards. *Requirements* * Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Sketchup is essential. * Experience with NavisWorks for project coordination is preferred. * Strong understanding of drafting principles, building codes, and industry standards. * Ability to create accurate schematics and technical drawings with attention to detail. * Familiarity with 2D animation techniques is a plus. * Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. * Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * A degree or certification in drafting, architecture, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
