Overview
Silver Valley Fire Protection Ltd. is seeking a qualified Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems across a variety of residential and commercial sites. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and code compliance. Responsibilities
Install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler piping systems in accordance with NFPA codes and local building regulations.
Perform system testing and maintenance, including inspections, flushing, hydrostatic testing, and dry system repairs.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including deficiencies, repairs, and inspections.
Safely use hand and power tools, pipe threading machines, and testing equipment.
Communicate clearly with clients, site supervisors, and team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally.
Adhere to all company and site-specific safety procedures and protocols.
Skills
Red Seal or equivalent certification (preferred, but not mandatory if you are an apprentice or experienced fitter).
Solid understanding of fire sprinkler systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and standpipe systems.
Ability to work from heights and in various site conditions.
Proficient in interpreting blueprints and performing layout.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and time management skills.
Experience with field service and customer interaction is an asset.
