Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Mountain driving expertise. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Logging, highway. Logging, off-highway. Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Long-haul. Short-haul. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety vest. Gloves. Personal suitability: Judgement. Reliability. Hardworking. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
