Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Custom cabinet shop. Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate. Excellent oral communication. Organized.
