*Job Description*
CAP Engineering is seeking a full-time Geotechnical Engineer to join our Whitehorse Team. Your role will entail involvement with field investigations, earthwork construction support, and writing detailed reports while participating in developing our laboratory facilities (permanent and mobile).
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive site investigations to assess geological and geotechnical conditions.
* Analyze slope stability utilizing advanced methodologies and industry standards.
* Perform geotechnical analysis and design for various infrastructure projects.
* Develop robust foundation designs tailored to project specifications and site requirements.
* Provide expert construction support and guidance to ensure project success.
* Conduct thorough site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to quality standards.
* Identify and assess risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
* Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, analysis, and recommendations.
* Mentor and supervise junior staff to foster professional development and ensure project
* Demonstrate a strong work ethic and take initiative to contribute as a team member or work independently.
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration and documentation.

*Qualifications:*
* Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
* Meet the eligibility criteria for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with Engineers Yukon.
* 3-5 years of professional experience specifically in geotechnical engineering.
* Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proactive approach to teamwork and collaboration.
* Exhibit a strong commitment to continuous personal and professional development, including technical and interpersonal skills.
* Display enthusiasm for mentoring colleagues at various levels, such as EITs, GITs, and technologists.
* Excel in client relations, adeptly managing project deliverables within defined timelines and budgets.
* Demonstrate proficiency in preparing proposals, work scopes, and comprehensive reports.
* Autonomous and
* Hold an unrestricted Class 5 driver?s license to facilitate project site visits and mobility.
