Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Pharmacy or drugstore. Tasks: Enter client information in databases. Help pharmacists. Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Maintain prescription records . Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Prepare medications for clients. Repair, build and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear. Set up and dismantle equipment. Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians. Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages. Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements and plaster casts. Clean and maintain equipment. Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products. Design and fabricate ocular implants. Help with scheduling and workflow. Bill third party insurers. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Clean and restore ocular prostheses. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Physically demanding.
