Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: Construction. Renovation. Tasks: Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units. Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing. Construct and install prefabricated masonry units. Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Bricklayer Trade Certification. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Reliability. Team player.
