Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Complete logbooks and reports. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Area of specialization: Truck driving. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
