Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Determine scheduling of production
  • Determine treatment and scope of production
  • Monitor the project’s success after release
  • Supervise staff or team
  • Plan, organize and direct the artistic aspects of production
  • Determine lighting, lenses, camera angles and backgrounds
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Supervise crew members
  • Set up equipment
  • Project management
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Plan and manage budgets
  • Plan coverage of upcoming events and assign work accordingly
  • Operate audio-visual or electronic equipment
  • Invoice clients
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Establish work schedules
  • Determine staffing requirements
  • Provide customer service
  • Supervise other technical staff
  • Prepare and operate videotape recording and playback equipment and edit video tape after production
  • Operate audio consoles or computers, tape machines, microphones and sound processing equipment at concerts and live events
  • Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
  • Manage events
  • Offer mentoring
  • Set up equipment for scheduled production
  • Schedule events, programs and activities
  • Operate electronic equipment that transmits video conferencing or multimedia presentations
  • Operate electronic equipment that transmits radio and television programs or motion pictures
