Vancouver Island trucking company looking for a versatile driver; who is professional, friendly, punctual, and reliable. We are looking for someone with availability for full-time hours. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible as we offer a variety of trucking services.
*Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities required :*
* Valid Class 3 driver?s license (or Class 1) with a clean commercial driver?s abstract
* Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull, and carry heavy items (up to 90 lbs)
* Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency
* Professional driving experience
* Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions
* Equipment operation, such as frontend loaders, an asset
*Responsibilities include :*
* Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban, and rural routes
* Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
* Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, count sheets, and incident reporting
* Performing product delivery verification with accompanying paperwork
* Following health and safety, and safe work procedures
