As a Community Inclusion Worker, you will follow the direction of the Director, provide for the daily living support needs of the individual in the community and contribute to all operational aspects of the program as defined in the Job Description. The worker motivates, supports and assists the individual in the development of life skills, making healthy life choices and in supporting full community integration and citizenship *Flexible schedule* *Pay starts at $23.00 per hour * _*Qualifications:*_ * Grade 12 required; minimum of a diploma or certificate in a field related to human services, or experience in a related field preferred * Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C Certification * TB Test * BC Criminal Records Review Program Clearance * Valid Class 5 Driver?s Licence _*Skills:*_ * Understanding of & Willingness to commit to Essence of Life, Personal Value Statements, Guiding Principles, Living Culture of the Home and Moral Leadership * Knowledge of community, social and health resources, specifically principles and practices of Outreach, Skill Development and Community Inclusion Support * Familiarity with PERSONS specific care plans and shift routines are considered as an asset * Energetic, outgoing person * *Must have a Class 5 driver?s licence and a reliable vehicle * _*Abilities:*_ * Direct working knowledge of supporting individuals who are seriously affected by substance use, and/or mental health challenges, cognitive impairments together with other diversabilities * Ability to deal effectively with conflict situations, manage aggressive behaviours and use non-violent crisis intervention and behavior management techniques * Ability to model and assist individual with development of healthy life skills * Ability to follow protocols, policies and procedures * Ability to organize, prioritize and maintain detailed digital logs * Experience and ability working with marginalized and culturally diverse populations, with a flexible and tolerant attitude to diverse cultures * Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations *How to Apply: *We would love to hear from you!
