In return, we?ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about.</p><div><div><div><div><b>Job Summary</b></div> </div><div><p> </p><p>As a <b>Waste Management Technician</b> for our <b>Maintenance</b> team located at the <b>Laval</b> site, you will ensure any hazardous material is discarded according to all relevant rules and policies. Train and coach employees to protect them from dangers related to hazardous materials commonly used at work.</p><p> </p><p>In this role, primary<b> responsibilities</b> include:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Ensure compliance as well as appropriate safety conditions of the hazardous waste storage room.</li><li>Inspect regularly the hazardous waste storage room to ensure the different types of dangerous products are properly separated (acid, basic, flammable, oxidizer, reducer, organic waste, radioactive, reactive, etc.).</li><li>Recover all hazardous waste containers from all internal departments.</li><li>Ensure the identification of the different waste containers is compliant.</li><li>Coordinate the recovery of hazardous waste and organic material with the different suppliers.</li><li>Clean up any spill that occurred during the operations.</li><li>Collect the different water samples for analysis</li></ul><p> </p></div></div><div><div><div><b>Job Qualifications</b></div> </div><div><p><br>We are looking for the following<b> minimum qualifications </b>for this role: </p><p> </p><ul><li>High school diploma with a degree in science (chemistry/biology).</li><li>Good knowledge of WHMIS 2015.</li><li>Team player with a collaborative and positive approach.</li><li>Must be fluent in French and English.</li><li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Role Specific Information:</b></p><p> </p><ul><li>Location: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3; </li><li>Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway.
