Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Transport tools and equipment on push or hand cars. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Physically demanding. Sitting. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Initiative. Dependability. Experience: Experience an asset.
