*Job Summary* We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Lactation Consultant to provide expert support and guidance to breastfeeding mothers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing and patient care, with a deep understanding of medical terminology related to lactation. This role is essential in promoting successful breastfeeding practices and ensuring the health and well-being of both mothers and infants. *Responsibilities* * Conduct thorough assessments of breastfeeding mothers and infants to identify challenges and provide tailored solutions. * Educate mothers on proper breastfeeding techniques, positioning, and latching strategies. * Offer emotional support and encouragement to mothers during their breastfeeding journey. * Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans for breastfeeding families. * Provide resources and referrals for additional support services as needed. * Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in lactation consulting to ensure high-quality care. * Document patient interactions and progress accurately in medical records. *Skills* * Strong nursing background with experience in patient care, particularly in maternal and child health. * Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to lactation and breastfeeding. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compassionately. * Strong problem-solving skills to address various breastfeeding challenges effectively. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. * Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting new mothers in their breastfeeding journey.
