Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Machinist Trade Certification. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Equipment and machinery experience: Automatic lathes. Milling machines. Personal suitability: Accurate. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
