Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Work setting: Metal product fabrication industry. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines. Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together. Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Team player. Experience: Will train.- LocationHamilton, ON
