Friends of Dorothy Lounge, Kelowna?s first 2SLGBTQIA+ cocktail lounge, is on the hunt for a creative, passionate, and team-oriented *Chef* to join our family. *About Us:* We?re a 50-capacity lounge with a Louis XIV-meets-punk-chic aesthetic, serving artisan cocktails and upscale bites. Our kitchen may be limited in size, but your creativity can make it limitless! We pride ourselves on creating a safe, inclusive, and vibrant space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and beyond. *What We?re Looking For:* A strong leader who?s ready to take the reins and shine in a head chef role. Someone who?s been a sous chef or in a similar 2nd-in-command role and is ready to level up. A team player who thrives in collaboration and can inspire others. A creative culinary wizard who can work magic in a cozy kitchen space. A love for homestyle vibes and the ability to craft dishes that feel like a warm hug. While you are not required to be a part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, you *must* be an ally and have a basic understanding of the community we serve. *Excellent communication skills* to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers. *Ability to work under pressure* while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. *Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations* to ensure compliance in all food handling processes. *Responsibilities:* * Lead the kitchen team with flair and fabulousness. * Plan and execute menus for our Wednesday-Saturday evenings and Sunday Brunch. * Bring innovative ideas to life while working within our kitchen?s unique space. * Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. * Collaborate with management to align the menu with our brand?s personality. * *Why Join Us?* Be part of a supportive and inclusive team.
