*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal parts and components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of powder coating processes, as well as the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or grinding to ensure proper adhesion of powder coatings.
* Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens, to apply coatings evenly.
* Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.
* Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
* Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
* Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with chemicals and machinery.
* Assist in the fabrication and assembly of parts as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and fabrication techniques.
* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* Experience with welding and operating forklifts or cranes is a plus.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
* Basic math skills for measuring materials accurately during the coating process.
* Ability to assemble components as required for production tasks.
