Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors. Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Plumber Trade Certification. Plumber Red Seal Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Work under pressure. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you available for the advertised start date?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
