Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Load and off-load machines. Set up, maintain and make minor repairs to machinery. Push carts, trucks or cans of fibres from one work area to another. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Mix dyes or chemicals according to established formulae. Operate a variety of machines to bleach, dye, coat or finish fabric, thread, yarn or other textile products. Type of yarn and fibre: Wool. Synthetic. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Ability to distinguish between colours.
