Signature Properties Inc. is looking for a *qualified Property Manager* in the *Edmonton area *to assist with our growing portfolio.
*Position Summary*
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Property Manager is responsible for the professional management, administration of daily duties of property manager and leasing of 60 suites.
*Key Duties and Responsibilities*
Operational/Administrative:
* Collection and deposits of rental payments and security deposits
* Generates new business, set up appointments and conducts suite showings with prospective tenants
* Must be flexible to answer current and/or prospective tenant inquiries
* Arrange move-out/in inspections and prepare move-out/in reports
* Understand company policies and legislative requirements and ensures that they are adhered to when dealing with customers
* Must be proficient with various computer software programs (i.e. Outlook, Word)
* An understanding of Yardi Breeze Premier would be an advantage (Management Software)
* Scanning of on-site documents required to be emailed to head office
* Other duties as assigned
Maintenance:
* Manage tenant maintenance requests including proper follow up to ensure satisfaction and completion.
* Cleaning and minor repair to be handled on suite turnovers.
* Troubleshoot and conduct small repairs
* Inspect mechanical systems daily.
* Inspection of buildings and vacant suites to report on any deficiencies and maintenance requests.
* Meeting with utility companies, phone companies and contractors for access to property for scheduled work
Customer Service:
We strive to promote a strong sense of community, and with that we require professional and courteous handling of all Resident inquiries, complaints or concerns. The Property Manager must ensure a high level of Resident satisfaction is achieved through consistent attention according to Signature Properties values.
*Qualifications and Requirements*
* Possess minimum of 8 years of residential property management experience.
* Enrollment in the Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Real Property Administrator (RPA) is considered an asset.
* Experience in customer service or sales.
* Above average problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act and building systems is an asset.
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends, month end and beginning of months.
* Must possess a valid driver?s license and have a reliable vehicle, as there may be a need to support other properties on occasion.
* Must successfully complete a security clearance.
* Individual must be bondable and subject to a standard credit check.
