With innovation and integrity at our core, we?re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team and help drive our financial operations with accuracy, insight, and accountability. Position Overview We?re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant who has a strong background in retail and bookkeeping. This role will be based on-site at our Winnipeg office and will support our growing operations by managing financial reports, reconciliations, audits, and more. Key Responsibilities · Maintain and ensure accuracy of monthly journal entries. · Prepare timely and accurate financial and statistical reports. · Reconcile and analyze general ledger and financial accounts. · Support year-end audit preparation and documentation. · Maintain capital asset records. · Review A/R aging and trial balance monthly. · Prepare monthly financial and KPI/statistical reports. · Build financial models to support strategic decision-making. · Identify and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and reporting. · Collaborate on forecasting and budgeting. · Ensure compliance with internal policies and Canadian accounting standards. Qualifications · Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA preferred) · 2?3 years of experience in accounting or finance. · Retail industry and bookkeeping experience is required. · Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc.). · Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Assets · Experience working in a multi-brand retail or eCommerce environment. · Familiarity with Canadian tax compliance and year-end audits. · Ability to streamline reporting and optimize workflow.
