Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rural area. Remote location. Staff accommodation available. Construction. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Direct and control construction projects. Direct and control the operations of commercial facilities. Plan and organize the operations of the facilities and the included real estate. Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems. Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff. Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems. Plan and manage the facility's operations budget. Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal. Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment. Resolve product and service related problems. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Organize and maintain inventory.
