*Position Summary*
The Senior Accountant is a part-time role and will play a critical role in enhancing the financial operations at Chrysalis. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position involves assisting the Director of Finance with overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, conducting detailed financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making to drive business growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will be results driven with a strong background in financial planning, analysis and strategy. They will have excellent problem-solving abilities, and passion for driving efficiency and profitability within the organization
*What You?ll Do!*
? *Financial Reporting:* Ensure accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements and reports
? *General Ledger Management:* Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance
? *Budgeting and Forecasting:* Assist with the development of annual budgets and forecasting processes
? *Financial Analysis and Strategy:* Provide financial insights and offer strategic recommendations to support decision making and drive business performance
? *Tax and Compliance:* Support and prepare timely tax filings and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations

? *Team Player:* Ability to work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, support decision-making, and achieve organizational goals
*Skills and Qualifications*
? *Education:* Degree in B.Comm or related field, or equivalent post-secondary education plus extensive related experience. CPA Designation is an asset
? *Experience:* Minimum 3 years? experience in a finance position
? *Technical skills:* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, and accounting programs such as: AIMS and Payworks
? *Knowledge:* Financial strategy and planning, accounting standards and principles, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, taxation, analyzing markets trends, and making financial decision for the organizations financial growth and stability
