We invite you to consider a career with us - come, experience our creative, innovative, and performance-based company!Job Description Reporting to the Director of Finance the Intermediate Accountant handles general accounting functions to ensure the accurate allocation, collection and reconciliation of costs and expenditures within Cascade Aerospace's accounting system. The Intermediate Accountant also assists the Accounting Lead in the month-end functions. This position requires immediate Controlled Goods clearance, therefore, only Canadian Residents or Permanent Residents will be considered at this timeMajor Responsibilities &amp; Duties Strive to consistently act in a manner, which reflects the Company's culture and values. Perform general accounting duties and functions accurately, independently and in accordance with Cascade Aerospace policies and procedures. Assist in month-end financial accounting procedures and reconciliations in accordance with the Company's financial department policies and procedures. Keep the finance team on track with month-end timeline. Conduct GL reconciliations. Prepare month-end journal entries and working papers. Prepare governmental remittances for PST, GST, QST and payroll taxes. Maintain Capital Spend spreadsheets on monthly basis. Run monthly Capture. Review &amp; Process company AMEX/Visa Statements. Provide Financial and Costing Analysis. Support in the preparation of the monthly financial statements and the package. Perform other duties as required.Core Skills Excellent communication skills: fluent written and verbal English is mandatory Intermediate Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint and/or other Accounting and Project specific software Proven competency in Numeracy using graphical information and numerical information Good Knowledge of an ERP is an asset Proven competency in using Information Technology Desire to work in a energetic high performance team environment Willingness to adapt to a changing environment Proven attention to detail, without losing the big picture Proven ability to meet deadlinesEducation Progressed to the 2nd/3th Year of a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA/CA) An accounting or business diploma or certificate is an assetExperience 3+ years' experience in financial and cost accounting required Experience with ERP systems is an assetReasons To Apply Employee retention and engagement is important to Cascade; we value our employees.
