Zone: Labrador Grenfell ZoneLocation: LHC - Goose Bay - Labrador Health CentreSocial Worker I - MCRLabrador Grenfell Zone - HCS MH&amp;A COUNS WALKIN 3Permanent Full-time55936POSHours: 75 bi-weekly (Shift Work, Days, Evenings, Weekends)Salary: CGHP39 (CAD40.07 - CAD48.73 per hour) plus applicable Labrador AllowanceThe following incentives may be applicable:Signing bonus up to $16,000Student Bursary up to $10,000Relocation AssistanceFor more information on bursaries/incentives please visit www.workinhealthnl.ca/incentives or email employment@nlhealthservices.caCompetition Number: VAC0009762Posted Date: 2025-04-03Closing Date: Open until filled.Qualifications:Bachelor of Social Work;Minimum of 2 years? experience in assessment and counselling preferred;Experience in mental health and/or addictions, including individual, family and group counselling;Experience in in crisis intervention, suicide intervention, and the ability to respond to the emergent needs of clients;Strong analytical, facilitation, written and oral communication skills;This position exercises a significant degree of independent clinical judgment;Eligibility for registration with the NLASW;Valid driver?s license;The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.Duties: (Included but not limited to):Attend mental health crisis calls in the community, in collaboration with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, and provide assessment and clinical intervention competently and calmly to ensure a quality service;Participate in clinical case conferencing activities and community mental health research and quality assurance;Provide walk-in clinic service to individuals and to individuals who present to the Emergency Room or admitted to Inpatient Services after regular working hours;The incumbent will conduct mental health assessments, obtain collateral information from nursing/medical staff, family members, etc. and coordinate with other disciplines and available community resources to provide follow-up care, to enhance service to clients;Documentation of all patient contacts and outcomes is also required;Other related duties as required Travel maybe required, maybe required to work alone;Provide clinical consultation to other clinic team members and to individuals who are seeking or requiring service. These clinical services include screening, comprehensive assessments, treatment, and intervention in the context of an interdisciplinary team, etc.;Other related duties as required, travel may be required, may be required to work alone.
