Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Assist in demolishing buildings. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Experience: Will train. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.- LocationCalgary, ABT3N 1V9
