DescriptionBachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Environmental Studies or a related degree. Master's degree in the above-noted disciplines is preferred
A minimum of 4 years of progressively relevant and responsible experience, including planning, public engagement and project management
Assets:
Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP)
Skills required for success:
Experience in municipal government and understanding of the land development, and parkland development process
Detailed knowledge of the principles and practices of urban planning in general, and environmental/open space planning in detail
Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and applicable governing policies and plans that inform open space development in Edmonton
Ability to communicate complex information effectively both orally and in writing
