The *Automotive Dismantler* plays a critical role in ensuring a positive customer experience. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a quality part as described. The Yard Dismantler is responsible for properly removing all high-quality auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who must work in a fast-paced environment, is hardworking, and who can successfully meet production quotas. You must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, have hands-on automotive repair experience with a knowledge of automobiles. *What does a day look like for a Dismantler?*
* Remove requested parts to fulfill orders on vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner,
* Individual will be primarily responsible for dismantling drivetrain assemblies into components after assemblies have been removed from the vehicle.
* Label and tag each part to be placed in stock,
* Check the quality and product type of the inventoried parts,
* Participate in daily team goals, and
* Other duties as assigned.
*What is the profile we are looking for?*
* Knowledge of automotive parts,
* Diploma in mechanics or bodywork (Strong Asset!),
* Hands-on job experience,
* Ability to work in a team,
* Must be able to lift 50lbs without restrictions, and
* Must own and maintain all the tools necessary.
*Job Requirements*
*Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: *Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is subject to intense physical labour, repetitive lifting. Must be able to lift at least 50-75 lbs.
*Working Conditions: *Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to extreme cold & extreme heat. The noise level is moderately loud.
