Tasks: Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems. Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems. Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates. Commission systems and components. Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Computer and technology knowledge: AutoCAD. Computer-aided design (CAD). Autodesk REVIT. MS Office. MS Excel. Area of work experience: Project coordination. Design. Specification or technical writing. Architectural specialization: Site inspections. Area of specialization: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
