*Who are PI Specialists?*
PI Specialists are highly talented and driven individuals who typically have skills and experience similar to the following:
* Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or Diploma in Computer Engineering Technologist or Computer Technologist
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational data environment and PI Systems
* Strong Knowledge of PI System architecture and data flow including updating and load balancing
* Knowledge of PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Interface, PI Vision configurations
* Understanding of SQL and general database concepts (Oracle, SQL Server etc.)
* Understanding of real-time SCADA/IIoT data
* Ability to prepare design documents and functional requirements specifications
* Experience developing applications and scripts using Python, C#, VB or Java
* Self-starter, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies, programming languages and operational data platforms
* Ability to work independently and as part of team environment
* Excellent communication (written and oral) skills. Ability to meet Streamline clients in person for workshops.
* Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
* Working with larger operational datasets
* Working with analytical tools
* Ability to learn concepts fast
* Experience with PI implementation projects in the Oil & Gas industry
* Experience in a PI Support role
*What to Expect as a PI Specialist*
As a PI Specialist, you will create, implement, and support innovative technology solutions for SCADA platforms, IIoT, and operational data stores, including the AVEVA PI System.
Other job responsibilities look like:
* Generation of reports, data validation, PI point configuration using PI builder and through SMT
* Collective configuration and management and analyzing PI SDK logs
* PI Administration activities like monitoring the health of PI Server, Interfaces and working with the issues related to the same
* Creation and modification of PI points, manual data upload in archive, PI server backup, tuning parameters
* Configuration of AVEVA PI System Clients like PI Vision, PI Datalink, PI Process Book, building graphical displays for monitoring the PI data using Vision
* PI Interfaces preferably PI OPC, PI RDBMS and PI Modbus and PI PerfMon interfaces
* Troubleshooting of end-user technical problems with PI tools
* Design, build, test, troubleshoot and debug new and existing PI-based tools
* Identify and develop technology and process improvements to PI AF configuration, data maintenance, and general usage
* Migration of PI Systems with recommended architecture
* Prepare and maintain end-user and administrative documentation and knowledge base for PI technologies and tools used by our clients
* Knowledge on PI System integration with third-party applications/tools
* Provide design support on non-PI operational data stores
* Analyze and solve complex client problems through creative and innovative solutions often acting in a pre-sales and post-sales capacity
* Regular interaction with clients and project teams. Role will be a combination of remote work and office
* Write documentation including design, testing and user manuals
