We are looking for a hands on Engineering Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the Engineering Department.

*Key Responsibilities*
* Lead and mentor a team of Electrical & Mechanical Designers.
* Prepare schedules for Engineering deliverables; work with Project Managers to prioritize tasks.
* Enroll as Unit Electric's Responsible Registrant with EGBC to maintain the Company's Permit to Practice and ensure compliance.
* Assign, monitor and manage team resources across multiple projects.
* Grow team skills, knowledge and competencies.
* Actively participate in department training and development programs.
* Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems.
* Develop effective work relationships to ensure positive outcomes for all stake holders within the Engineering Department and Unit Electric as a whole.
* Lead and manage research & development projects and maintain the Company's CSA certification for switchgear and couplers.
* Estimate engineering & design workhours for all engineering tasks.
*Qualifications *
* Required: Registration with EGBC as P.Eng. Ability to authenticate documents.
* Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
* Required: Experience designing HV substations, MV and Lv distribution systems and large electrical systems required including power, protection and control systems.
* Required: Minimum of 5-years of leadership experience.
* Preferred: Registration with APEGA as P. Eng. Ability to authenticate documents.
* Preferred: Master's degree in engineering preferred.
* Ability to authenticate documents.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures.
