Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Cabinetmaking and millwork. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Furniture manufacturing company. Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.. Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Maintain clean and safe work environment.
