*Responsibilities*
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
* Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
* Provide individualized support for students with varying academic abilities, including those in special education.
* Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic performance and behavior.
* Utilize technology and educational software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, to enhance learning experiences.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
*Skills*
* Must be an *Ontario Certified Teacher.*
* Strong written communication skills for preparing lesson plans, reports, and correspondence.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for managing classroom data and documentation.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students of varying backgrounds.
* Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus for engaging with diverse student populations.
* Experience or knowledge in teaching Math is preferred.
* Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment.
* Understanding of special education practices to support students with unique learning needs.
