A leading Canadian infrastructure contractor is expanding its geotechnical design team for a new downtown tunnel and deep-excavation program . The successful candidate will guide investigation, design, and construction support for shaft excavations, slurry / secant walls, and TBM drives beneath sensitive urban corridors. Key responsibilities Plan & interpret geotechnical investigations (CPT, boreholes, packer tests). Produce deep-foundation and support-of-excavation designs using PLAXIS / FLAC. Monitor instrumentation and settlement; implement trigger-level responses. Liaise daily with construction teams to resolve field-design issues. Prepare geotechnical baseline & interpretive reports for design-build contracts. Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external reviewers. Requirements P.Eng. in Québec (or eligibility within 6 months). 6?12 years on deep excavations, tunnels, or heavy-civil foundations. Proficiency with PLAXIS / FLAC (or similar) and Canadian codes.
