Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work setting: Veterinary clinic. Tasks: Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests. Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery. Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery. Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian. Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian. Counsel clients on animal health care. May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties. Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) .- LocationRichmond, BC
