Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Conduct liquid penetrant inspection. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Interpret and document liquid penetrant inspection. Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators. Prepare surface for liquid penetrant inspection. Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment. Maintain test result reports. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : NRCAN Certification Liquid Penetrant testing Level 1. NRCAN Certification Liquid Penetrant testing Level 2. NRCAN Certification Magnetic Particle testing Level 1. NRCAN Certification Magnetic Particle testing Level 2. Nondestructive Testing Certificate. Testing equipment and methods: Liquid penetrant. Magnetic particle. Eddy current. Visual inspection. Nondestructive testing. Ultrasonic. Area of work experience: Aircraft maintenance and overhaul. Aircraft/aerospace manufacturing.
