Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Assess patients' physical abilities. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Process files and paperwork. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy.
