Foothills Creamery is committed to growing our passionate and friendly staff, providing excellent customer service, and producing the highest quality ice cream and dairy products for Canadians. *Job Purpose:* The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and supporting audits. This role also will focus on operational accounting with accurate tracking and reporting of inventory and fixed assets and assisting the operations team with financial analysis. *What You?ll Do:* * Prepare journal entries, working papers, and account reconciliations * Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data * Prepare and analyze financial reports for operations and management * Manage inventory accounting, including cost analysis, reconciliations, and inventory adjustments * Maintain and track fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and depreciation * Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls * Identify and implement process improvements in operations * Oversee the company credit card program *What You?ll Need:* * Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field * CPA designation (or in progress) preferred * 4+ years of accounting experience * Strong understanding of IFRS * Hands-on experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting * Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, QuickBooks) * Previous experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset *What You?ll Bring:* * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * Strong communication and analytical abilities * Professionalism at a level in which integrity and ethics are consistently upheld Foothills Creamery Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.
