*Position Summary*
We are seeking a highly motivated *Senior Accountant* to join our Finance Team. In this role you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company?s financial reporting. This position supports month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You can roll up your sleeves and take on full cycle of accounting duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a hybrid work environment, and enjoys collaborating across departments to improve financial processes and systems.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform full cycle accounting duties, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
* Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, , intercompany transactions and review general ledger activity
* Perform daily inventory reconciliations and foreign currency adjustments
* Execute month-end and year-end closing processes
* Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
* Support quarterly and annual external audits, including liaising with auditors
* Ensure accurate integration and reporting from e-commerce systems, payment platforms, and inventory reporting tools to ensure accurate financial data
* Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
* Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls
*Qualifications*
* CPA designation (or in final stages of completion) preferred; equivalent experience and education considered
* Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Minimum 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
* Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
* Experience working with ERP computer systems; Business Central 365 (MS Dynamics) experience is a strong asset
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience preferred
* Experience working with foreign currency transactions
* Knowledge or understanding of project management and agile development methodology is a major benefit to the applicant
* Experience with e-commerce business models, online sales platforms, and inventory systems is a strong asset
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and as part of a collaborative team
